Katy started her animal career as an intern at
Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois, where she learned about the care and training of penguins, harbor seals, sea otters, Pacific white-sided dolphins and beluga whales.
|
After her experience at Shedd Aquarium, Katy spent three years as a trainer at Colorado's Ocean Journey in Denver, Colorado. Here she trained several species of birds, North American River Otters, Southern Sea Otters and Sumatran Tigers.

Katy moved down to the Florida Keys in the spring of 2003 to work at The Dolphin Connection where she became a senior trainer. She was a part of a staff that educated and inspired guests about the ocean world through interaction with Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins.

From Training to Massage... After watching a friend's dog recover from surgery, Katy was inspired toward another avenue of helping animals. As a graduate of Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure Massage, Katy became a Certified Equine and Canine Acupressure Massage Practitioner.
